Yamaha National Junior Original Concert – Western Region
On April 19th, four students from our academy had the opportunity to perform at the Yamaha Western National Junior Original Concert (JOC) in Calgary. The talent from these young artists inspired the West Coast with their imaginative pieces and impeccable skills.

Jelena Loi, age 9, and Matthew Jiang, age 10, took the audience on an exciting journey with a performance of Jelena’s composition “A Voyage to the Galaxy.”
Cheryl Lin, age 11, had everyone dancing in their seats with her refreshing ragtime composition, “Summer Cherries Rag.”
Elisa Song, 15-year-old JOC graduate, ignited audience members’ hearts and minds with her composition “Reincarnation,” a piano and cello duet.
