Witold Wardziukiewicz

Witold Wardziukiewicz obtained a Masters degree from the Stanis?aw Moniuszko Academy of Music in his native Gda?sk, Poland in prof. Katarzyna Popowa-Zydron’s class. He also completed postgraduate studies at the Academy of Music and Drama of the University of Gothenburg, Sweden with prof. Staffan Scheja, where he was awarded to perform the Second Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto with the Gothenburg Högskolans Symfoniorkester.

From his early days he was recognized for his outstanding musicality and was awarded with many scholarships, including the National Ministry of Culture Scholarship for his pianistic achievements throughout his university education time. His first major and very successful piano performances were with the Chopin Youth Orchestra in Gdansk (Poland) and shortly after he started appearing in recital throughout Poland, Sweden, Austria, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Norway and Slovenia and finally in Canada. An active chamber musician, he has been heard regularly in a duo with the Bulgarian pianist Georgi Pironkov. In addition to his performing activities, Witold is a devoted and sought-after teacher and has served on the faculties of the Music Secondary Schools in Elblag and Torun, Poland.
