A wonderful cocktail party took place earlier this week to celebrate the Vancouver Art Gallery’s “Forbidden City” exhibit, which is on now until January 11th. The exhibit offers a look of the iconic and hidden era of Chinese cultural history. For five centuries, Chinese emperors resided in this secretive imperial city. It was only fitting that the century-old Steinway brand piano served as the source of music throughout the evening. Beautiful pieces of art were revealed, and speeches were made as people took in a spectacular view of Metro Vancouver all around them.
