The VMO’s busy summer season kicked off on a spectacular note earlier this month, as Jack Poole Plaza, home of the Vancouver Olympic Torch, played host to a very special outdoor concert with a beautiful Yamaha Grand Piano at center stage!

Hundreds of people gathered in the heart of Coal Harbour with their lawn chairs and blankets to watch the VMO perform a variety of popular works, including compositions by Michael Conway Baker, Strauss, and Bizet. The live symphony was led by Conductor Ken Hsieh.

Bringing the community together through music is something we’re very proud to support. A special shout out to everyone who attended. It was an incredibly beautiful evening, both from a scenic perspective and a musical one.
