Music is a powerful way to expand your child’s mental development because it triggers nearly every region of the brain. Through new studies and technology, it has been proven that musical education speeds up the advancement of speech, reading, focus, empathy as well as emotional intelligence. In the last few decades, neuroscience has made some major breakthroughs in understanding how our brains operate by using instruments such as Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging and PET scanners to measure brain activity in real time. When people were hooked up to these devices, they would carry out activities such as reading and writing. While this was happening, certain areas of the brain would activate, whereas others would not.
