Mark Anderson, Associate Professor of University of British Columbia was the judge at the audition. He said, "I am frequently asked to adjudicate at competitions throughout North America and beyond. I was impressed with the standard exhibited by the contestants in the 2013 Crescendo International Piano Competition in Vancouver, BC. I found their musical and technical development to be directly in line with what one would expect from a major music center such as Vancouver. Not only did I find the level of participants high but I also found the competition itself to be efficiently organized utilizing world class facilities and instrument.” Vancouver audition organizer Rebecca Cheng said, “It is a wonderful opportunity for these talented young pianists to experience a different level of competition. I was delighted to see the high level of performance  at the audition.” Caption: Eric Chen,  Isabelle (Xinyi) Wang and Ethan Wang (front left to right) and teacher Rebecca Cheng Caption: Teacher Rebecca Chan and Vincent Chan About the students Eric Chen, Ethan Wang and Isabelle (Xinyi) Wang started playing piano together as a trio since the beginning of 2013 under the direction of Mrs. Rebecca Cheng from Tom Lee Music Academy.  All of them started playing piano since 4 years old beginning with the Yamaha Junior music course.  At present, they are at Royal Conservatory Grade 7 level.
