The UT Vintage87 Large-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone from United Studio Technologies is the vintage microphone that your studio has been missing. Streamlined from the UT Twin87, dripping with that instantly recognizable vintage sound, and fixed to United's true cardioid pattern, your live or in-studio sound will be instantly impacted.

Built on United's own large-core, custom-wound, US-made output transformer, the custom made 24k gold sputtered dual diaphragm/dual backplate K87-style capsule is bolstered by a bevy of hand-selected, premium components: polystyrene, tantalum, multilayer ceramic, WIMA film capacitors, hand-picked transistors and the finest resistors. Precision milled from brass and skinned with 6-micron Japanese PET film (mylar), the capsules are constructed in a laboratory clean-room environment. UT developed their own custom-wound transformer, which has nearly four times the metal mass found in other 87-style microphones. The transformer sounds open, with high headroom, and a clear, three-dimensional sound, always representing low frequencies fully and reliably. The classic original mic's pattern-select functionality is eschewed in the new UT Vintage87, focusing solely on the true-cardioid response, while a switchable output filter blocks RF and electro-magnetic interference. Based on the R&D of the UT Twin87, UT Vintage87 is built to a timeless standard for timeless sounds; including many high-end components more commonly found in boutique offerings.
