At Selmer, we understand that a young musician’s success rests upon the acoustic quality of the instrument. Based on this, we made the body of our student model B-flat clarinet from our famous Selmer Resonite™ composite material. This highly resonant material is reamed, drilled, and undercut by digitally calibrated and computer-controlled machinery to ensure ideal response and excellent intonation.

The newly designed key-work of the Student B♭ clarinet is not only rugged enough for the rigors of classroom life but also features larger, more comfortable touch pieces that are ergonomically placed for comfortable performance and quicker technical growth.
