The 25th-Anniversary Black PreSonus AudioBox USB96 desktop 2x2 USB audio interface offers Class-A mic preamps with phantom power, MIDI I/O, and simple operability in a portable and sturdy steel chassis that is conveniently bus powered.

The AudioBox USB 96 utilizes 24-bit converters at sampling rates up to 96 kHz to ensure the integrity and detail of your signals, whether recording or mixing. The two XLR-1/4" combo inputs let you record microphones (dynamic or condenser) or instruments such as electric guitar while monitoring with zero latency via the adjustable direct monitor mix.

With two 1/4" line/monitor outs and a stereo headphone output, the interface can drive a set of speakers and headphones while offering independent volume controls for both. If you have MIDI gear such as a keyboard controller, synthesizer, or drum machine, simply connect them to the interface's 5-pin MIDI ports to smoothly integrate them into your production setup.

The AudioBox USB 96 is bundled with Studio One Artist DAW software for Mac and Windows and includes the Studio Magic plug-in suite, delivering a host of effects, virtual instruments, and third-party loops, software, and instrument sounds.

Class-A Microphone Preamps

The AudioBox USB 96's two Class-A mic preamps treat your sources to sound quality typical of more expensive devices. With switchable 48V phantom power and XLR-1/4" combo inputs, the interface is more than capable of accommodating dynamic or condenser microphones and electric instruments such as guitar, bass, and keyboard.

High-Resolution Converters

Boasting support for digital resolutions up to 24-bit / 96 kHz, the AudioBox USB 96 is equipped to perform AD/DA conversion with clarity and precision. It can also serve as a quality DAC for playback of high-resolution files from your computer.

Headphone and Monitor Outputs

Thanks to the interface's two 1/4" line/monitor outputs and stereo headphone output, you can easily hook up a pair of speakers and studio headphones and independently adjust their volume levels via separate knobs on the front panel.

Latency-Free Monitoring

The AudioBox USB 96 features a direct monitor function with a mix control, allowing you to make the perfect blend of the zero-latency live input signal and the return signal from your computer.

MIDI I/O

Integration of MIDI equipment is no problem for the AudioBox USB 96. It offers traditional 5-pin MIDI I/O for straightforward connectivity with common gear such as a MIDI keyboard controller, synthesizer, or drum machine.

Bus Powered over USB

Travel light with the AudioBox USB 96; it is powered via a USB connection (USB cable included) to your Mac or Windows computer, so you don't need to bring an external power supply.

Sturdy and Small

Not only is the interface compact to conserve space on your desk or in your backpack, but it is also sturdy. The steel chassis occupies just 1/3 of a rack space and it can be mounted in a 19" equipment rack with optional hardware.
