Electro 7 HP is a performance-focused stage keyboard that pairs the Electro platform’s updated sound engines with an HP keybed featuring Kawai hammer action. Designed for players who prioritize authentic piano feel alongside expressive organ and synth performance, the Electro 7 HP delivers hands-on control, expanded sound shaping, and a refined user interface in a stage-ready instrument from Nord.

Organ, Piano, and Synth Engines

The Organ Section is powered by the Nord Organ 3 engine and features authentic models of B3, B3 Bass, Vox, Farfisa, Soft B3, and Pipe organs. The latest Rotary Speaker emulation includes three microphone positions and slow, fast, and stop modes. Physical drawbars with LED indicators are standard, offering precise visual feedback alongside Drawbar Live Mode and presets for upper and lower manuals. Three selectable tonewheel modes are available on the B3 model.

The Piano Section includes a broad selection of acoustic, upright, and electric pianos from the Nord Piano Library, enhanced with Dynamic Compression, Unison, Timbre, and String Resonance. Sounds can be transferred and managed using Nord Sound Manager software.

The Synth Section adds analog waveforms, FM synthesis, and sample playback from the Nord Sample Library. Performance controls include mono, legato, and glide modes, unison, and vibrato with adjustable parameters. A low-pass filter with resonance and dual ADR envelopes for amp and filter/FM amount provide detailed sound shaping.

Program Control and Interface

A newly redesigned panel features a large color display for improved navigation and visibility. Push encoders streamline sound, category, and program selection, while Live Mode ensures smooth transitions during performance. Expression Pedal Assign enables pedal-based control of synth filter and effect parameters.

Effects and Amplification

The expanded Effects Section offers dedicated effects per section and layer, including new Spring Reverb, Brit and Suitcase amplifier models, and a Delay with analog mode, feedback filters, tap tempo, ping-pong, and global options. Modulation effects include chorus, phaser, flanger, tremolo, and ring modulation, all with rate and amount controls. A dedicated compressor with amount control, three-band EQ with sweepable mid, and global reverb with layer send and chorale/bright/dark modes complete the effects architecture.
