Electro 7 61 is a compact, performance-focused stage keyboard that combines a newly redesigned panel with powerful organ, piano, and synth engines derived from Nord’s latest flagship instruments. Featuring a 61-key semi-weighted waterfall keyboard, physical drawbars with LED indicators, and a new large color display, the Electro 7 61 delivers an intuitive, hands-on playing experience optimized for live performance and studio work.

Organ, Piano, and Synth Engines

 The Organ Section is based on the Nord Organ 3 engine and delivers detailed recreations of classic tonewheel, transistor, and pipe organs, including B3, B3 Bass, Vox, Farfisa, Soft B3, and Pipe models. A newly updated Rotary Speaker emulation from the Nord Organ 3 offers three selectable microphone positions along with slow, fast, and stop modes. Physical drawbars with LED indicators provide immediate visual and tactile control, supported by Drawbar Live Mode and presets for both upper and lower manuals. The B3 model includes three selectable tonewheel modes for added tonal flexibility.

The Piano Section features a wide selection of grands, uprights, and electric pianos from the Nord Piano Library. New enhancements include Dynamic Compression, Unison, Timbre, and String Resonance, delivering enhanced realism and expressive depth. Sounds can be easily managed and transferred using Nord Sound Manager software.

A newly expanded Synth Section introduces analog waveforms, FM synthesis, and high-quality sample playback from the Nord Sample Library. Performance features include mono and legato modes, glide, unison, and vibrato with adjustable rate, amount, and delay. Sound shaping is handled by a low-pass filter with resonance and dual ADR envelopes for amp and filter/FM amount, enabling expressive real-time control.

Program Control and User Interface

The Electro 7 features a redesigned control panel with a new large, high-resolution color display for improved visibility and workflow. Push encoders are used throughout for selecting programs, categories, and sounds, while Live Mode enables seamless program changes during performance. An Expression Pedal Assign function allows pedal control of synth filter and effect parameters for enhanced expressiveness.

Effects and Amplification

The Electro 7 includes a significantly expanded Effects Section with dedicated effects per section and per layer. New additions include an authentic Spring Reverb, Brit and Suitcase amplifier models, and a Delay with ping-pong, tap tempo, global mode, and vintage-style Analog mode with selectable feedback filters. Modulation effects include chorus, phaser, flanger, tremolo, and ring modulation, all with rate and amount controls. A dedicated compressor with amount control and a three-band EQ with sweepable mid are also included, along with a global reverb featuring layer send, chorale, and bright/dark modes.
