SKX PRO

Dual 61-key Stage Organ Delivering all of the design quality and features of the SK PRO, but with the versatility of a dual-manual keyboard, the SKX PRO from Hammond is a genuine Hammond organ and stage keyboard, built for serious studio and stage work, and sporting two semiweighted 61-key waterfall-style keyboards. The SKX PRO not only provides an authentic 61-voice organ tone with independent sets of drawbars and expanded transistor and pipe organ voices, but also packs four discrete sound engines with seamless switching including a versatile 128-note polyphony piano section, an ensemble section with essential brass, reed, string, choir, and clavier sounds, and a modeled monophonic synth section with powerful oscillator and modulation controls.

Pitch-bend, modulation, portamento, and digital Leslie controls allow for loads of creative expressivity, and versatile I/O connections enable discrete assignable voice-engine outputs, pedal and footswitch connectivity, rotary-speaker outputs, headphone output, MIDI I/O, and a stereo aux input, just to name a few. With splits, layers, external MIDI zones, independent DSP effects for each voice engine, sophisticated memory storage, and a large tilted color display, the SKX PRO is simply a powerhouse—a feature-rich keyboard that delivers professional performance in any application, any environment, and any music style.

Voice Sections

Organ

• The Skx PRO incorporates the state-of-the-art Modelled Tone Wheel 1 (MTW1) sound engine pioneered by Hammond's flagship XK-5 Organ, recognized widely as the standard in digital tone wheel sound
• Hammond’s proprietary Virtual Multi-Contact system replicates the keyboard performance of a vintage Hammond organ, allowing the distinctive Hammond feel in every detail. For even greater versatility, optional Hammond MIDI pedalboards such as XPK-130G, XPK-200G or XPK-200GL can be added for traditional organ play
• An onboard digital Leslie brings deeper authenticity, now including the airflow of Leslie rotors
• In addition to Hammond Drawbar sounds, the SKX PRO also models Italian, British, and Japanese transistorized Combo Organs and Classical / Theatre Pipe Organ

Piano/Ensemble

• As on the SKX PRO, all piano/ensemble voices can be fully edited
• The SKX PRO contains high-quality samples of the world's leading grand piano sounds, including a brand-new sample of a legendary European concert grand piano
• High-definition digital piano/ensemble voices are upgraded in resolution from previous SK models 

Mono Synth

•  The SKX PRO incorporates a brand-new physically modeled synthesizer, faithfully providing the sounds and playing experience of classic analog synthesizers. All traditional synth controls are on the top panel, allowing the creation and editing of sounds in real time just as on a classic analog synth. Pitch-bend and mod wheels are also included.

Combinations, Favorites, Patches

SKX PRO's Combinations set the scene for each performance and can be changed in an instant, giving the equivalent of four discrete keyboards. Each Combination holds 4 patches and as many as 3 external MIDI instruments. 200 Combinations are available (100 Factory and 100 User).

Any ten Combinations may be assigned to the Favorites buttons for instant access. There are ten banks with 10 Favorites each, for a total of 100 Favorites. Altogether, the SkxPRO provides you with 626 factory patches and 726 user patches. 

Effects and Controls

The SKX PRO incorporates Pitch Bend and Modulation wheels, giving the player the ability to add full expressiveness to their music. Each voice section has individual volume control, allowing different sections to be mixed in real time.

Each of the 4 Voice sections can receive overdrive and 2 types of comprehensive DSP Multi-Effects. All the DSP FX listed below can be saved as part of a patch: Overdrive (Tube, Solid, Clip, EP Amp), Multi-effect 1 (Tremolo, Wah-Wah, Ring Modulator, Compressor), and Multi-effect 2 (Phaser, Flanger, Chorus, Delay, Auto Pan).

Sophisticated Design

The panel of the SKX PRO is styled in an eye-catching British Racing Green color that will blend in any environment. For those desiring a more traditional organ style, a set of easily self-installed walnut side panels are available as an option.

Connections

The SKX PRO includes 1/4" line-out left and right jacks as well as a headphone jack and a 3.5mm aux-in jack with its own volume control for connecting an external sound source such as a music player. Individual outputs allow the assignment of the Piano, Ensemble, or Mono Synth sections to two separate audio outputs. Rotary Out and Organ Pedal (Bass) Out jacks are provided, and an 11-pin DIN port allows you to connect the SKX PRO to a real Leslie rotary speaker.

Footswitch and pedal control inputs are onboard for manipulating your performances with external control gear. The I/O doesn't stop at analog connections, as digital options are available too, including MIDI in and out, and two USB ports: one USB-A connection for attaching a mass storage device, and a USB-B port for host connections.
