OMX-T

Dynamic Supercardioid Handheld Vocal Microphone

Designed for vocalists utilizing tight mic techniques on loud stages, the OMX-T from AUDIX is a handheld dynamic mic with very tight supercardioid pickup for extreme off-axis rejection and feedback control. With a VLM capsule for a clear, natural sound and optimal transient response, the OMX-T makes your live vocals shine.

The OMX-T can take up to 144 dB without distortion, ensuring even the loudest belters have plenty of headroom to let loose. The microphone has been designed to reduce handling noise, further supporting clean and professional-sounding performances. The durable body is constructed from die-cast zinc alloy with a dent-proof steel mesh grille, making it a solid choice for surviving years of touring or stage performances. While ideal for lead vocalists singing on loud stages, the OMX-T also performs stridently on singers who need isolation from onstage instruments in their IEM mixes, drummers who sing, hip-hop artists who cup the mic, and even on snare drums for isolation from hi-hat bleed. The OMX-T includes a heavy-duty mic clip and a carrying pouch.

T for Tight Stages and Mic Techniques

For many bands, keeping the lead singer’s mic free of unwanted bleed and feedback is an uphill battle. This is not only because stages in showcase-oriented clubs tend to be small, but also because some venues favor mainly (or only) backline sound for guitar, bass, and drums, so these instruments tend to get played louder than in a fully miked-and-monitored plot.

Whatever the challenge, the OMX-T isolates all the vocals while maximizing rejection of other nearby signals. Designed for very close singing, it retains detail with neither exaggerated bass boost nor loss of clarity. Its exceptional gain before feedback carves out a space in which both the singer and listeners will hear every word.

VLM Capsule

The OMX-T microphone features a specially tuned and optimized dynamic capsule that utilizes the famous and exclusive AUDIX VLM (Very Low Mass) diaphragm for natural sound and exceptional transient response. The capsule is designed with a supercardioid polar pattern to improve isolation and feedback control.

Robust Construction

OMX construction features include a precision die-cast zinc alloy body with a durable black E-coat finish and a newly designed, dent-resistant, steel mesh grille. A uniquely colored, anodized aluminum ring between the body and grille allows for quick and easy identification of all three models within the OMX range: Green—OMX-E (extended); Brown/Gold—OMX-M (mid-tight); and Silver—OMX-T (tight).
