Our response to COVID-19

March 20, 2020

To our valued clients, students, and teachers,

While the government has not mandated a suspension of non-essential retail businesses, we are taking this step for the safety and health of our employees, customers and local communities.

Tom Lee Music will be temporarily closing our retail, academy and service operations to the public. Our stores are still open during regular business hours (except Sundays), to serve you via phone. Curbside pickup, shipping, and piano/keyboard delivery is available at all stores. Please call your preferred store to schedule a time to pick up.

In addition to our regular stores, our online store is available to serve your needs. If you have any inquiries, please contact us via our Contact Form or call us at your preferred location (see location phone number) and leave a message. We will attempt to return your inquiries as soon as possible.

In addition, we will be releasing short videos and other content to help you and your loved ones enjoy the gift of music at home. Whether you’re an experienced musician or performer, or just beginning your musical journey, our new online media at Tom Lee Music will have something for everyone.

Thank you for your support and understanding, and we look forward to celebrating music with you in our stores again soon.

Your Friends at Tom Lee Music

While our stores remain open, we have reduced our operating hours for each store to 10am-6pm on Monday to Saturday, and 12-5pm on Sundays. We are continuing to monitor updates from all levels of government.

In addition, we request that customers entering Tom Lee Music stores abide by the following:

  1. Keep your social distance - at least 2 meters between people.
  2. No self-testing of instruments - if you would like to play or test any instrument, please ask for assistance from one of our staff
  3. Please clean your hands - upon entering any of our stores, we will have hand sanitizer available. Please use it upon entering the store, and before and after you play or test an instrument.
  4. No personal instruments - for the time being, we are not able to accept any personal instruments into our stores for repairs, service, set-ups, etc.

Dear valued Tom Lee Music customers and students,

It is no secret that COVID-19 has had a dramatic impact in Canada and around the world. As a retailer business, Tom Lee Music is making every effort to keep our employees and customers safe through enhanced precautionary measures in accordance with guidelines provided by all levels of government and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Our retail stores will remain open unless there is a mandate to suspend retail operations. However, we will continue to monitor the situation for guidance from every level of government.

We request all customers to sanitize their hands using our hand sanitizer upon entry to our stores.

Tom Lee Music Academy has postponed all our music group lessons to enhance social distancing. Private music lessons will continue to be offered.
