Peter Baartmans was born in 1960.
At the age of 6 he already started to play music, on a typical Dutch instrument: the accordion.
From 1969 He studied Piano and Church-organ at the state-music school of Bergen op Zoom (Holland)
From 1977 He studied these instrument at the conservatory of Tilburg (Holland)
Peter has always had a broad interest in music.
From 1976, during his studies at the conservatory, he started to play jazz-music in several jazz-combo’s, and was pianist in a Big Band.
From 1978 he also played in a well-known Dutch pop-band where he was the pianist for many popular Dutch singers.
At the same time Peter started to work for Yamaha Musical Instruments (November 1981)
He played concerts for Yamaha all over the world. U.S.A., Australia, Latin America, South-Africa, Japan, Asia, and almost all countries within Europe.
From 1994 he worked also as a programmer for digital pianos and keyboards for Yamaha.
He is now presenting Yamaha Clavinova and Portable Keyboards for Yamaha Corporation of Japan, giving product- and demonstrator seminars worldwide.
So far Peter produced 8 Compact Discs and, before, 3 Vinyl-records.
On these productions you will find some of his original compositions as well.
All the songs he performs, plays, or records, are his very own unique arrangements.
His music, a mixture of classical, jazz, pop and funk, has become his hallmark today.
After all his experiences of making music for more than 35 years, his style of presenting and the expression of his music on Yamaha Digital Pianos and Keyboards, have become unique and unmistakable.
