Elton John : Live Around The World

Last night (Friday January 25, 2013) at Tom Lee Music Vancouver, Elton John, one of the world’s most prolific and important music makers of our time, joined in celebrating Yamaha's 125th anniversary by participating in a ground breaking historical concert. He performed live from Disneyland’s Hyperion Theater in Anaheim, California and thanks to Yamaha’s ground-breaking DisklavierTV™, powered by RemoteLive™ technology, the entire concert was enjoyed by VIP guests of Tom Lee Music, in the Tom Lee Music Hall.

Sir Elton’s performance on the Yamaha Disklavier was captured and reproduced by the piano onstage in California, with a 70-piece orchestra, and was streamed live over the Internet simultaneously to remote Disklaviers in a handful of exclusive cities in select countries around the world, with Vancouver (Tom Lee Music) being the only Canadian city to participate. Elton's actual piano keystrokes were faithfully recreated, note for note, in real time on each of the remote Disklaviers. Elton and the entire orchestra was seen and heard by the guests on a large video monitor in the Music Hall, in perfect sync with the remote piano performances.

The guests were also entertained by additional world-class artists including Vancouver’s Sarah McLachlan, Victoria’s David Foster, Michael McDonald, Amy Grant, Chaka Khan, Earth, Wind & Fire, and many more, all celebrating Yamaha.

Please enjoy some video highlights from this historic concert.
