The NWIPEC has been established to attract the interest and participation of advanced amateur pianists performing either piano duet (two performers at one piano) or piano duo (two performers at two pianos).

There are two divisions in this one-of-a-kind competition in Canada :

Junior Division (up to age 16 as of August 31, 2012)

Senior Division (age 17 to 30 as of August 31, 2012)
