Drum lessons are offered at all six Tom Lee Music Learning Centre locations throughout the lower mainland.  All of our teachers are selected from a large group of applicants. They are skilled, dedicated and draw from their experience in the music business.  If you are a Beginner - you are patiently taught a well rounded curriculum. You will learn the basics of reading, rudiments and styles common to today's music.

Music theory is the study of how music works.  It examines the notation and language of music.  Some elements of music are rhythm, melody, structure, harmony, and texture.  Music theory can help musicians learn new techniques, perform unfamiliar styles of music, and develop the confidence to try new things.  Every musician can benefit from learning the fundamentals of theory to further their understanding of the music they play.

Have you always wanted to burst out in song or sing freely on the street? The voice is the most powerful natural instrument we have. Learning to sing is a great way to express music from within. Our highly trained vocal instructors will help students overcome shyness and develop essential techniques to bring out the voice. Anyone can learn to sing!

Teachers focus on breaking down the technique of how to play into digestible steps while building toward the end goal of playing your favourite song. With the years of training, performance and teaching experience, their expertise will lead to many shared tricks and tools to help make playing easier, more enjoyable and fun!

Inspired by the Glee TV Show concept, Glee Camp focuses on putting together a performance in the style of the television show “Glee”.  The emphasis will be on popular songs, group vocal provided.  Families and friends will be invited for the Final Showcase at the end of the camp.

Do you envision yourself in a band?  Playing in a venue where you’re the rock star in front of a crowd?  This course is for adults who have some basic foundation in a band instrument (guitar, bass guitar, drums, acoustic, vocals, violin and/or keyboard)

This program will provide opportunities for piano students to play with their friends in duets (one piano, 4 hands), duos (2 pianos, 4 hands), trios (1 piano ,6 hands) and quartets ( 2 pianos, 8 hands).  Students will be grouped and coached by their teachers according to their age and level.  Performance opportunities will be organized by the school in different events and concerts.  Students will participate in Christmas Concert, Spring Musician Club Concert as well as the Year End Concert.

Learn to sing in a group is fun! Our instructor will teach you basics of breathing, vocal techniques to bring out your voice.  Students are motivated to participate in our Christmas Concert, Spring Concert as well as the Year End Concert.

This course allows 2-year-old children to explore the world around them through music, movement and play.  They are introduced a variety of musical styles including classical, folk, jazz, traditional, contemporary and original music.  The course emphasize the enjoyment of music, which starts developing the child’s intelligence their ear and creativity at a very young age.

Music Wonderland is a unique program designed to give your child the best opportunity to develop basic music skills. This will help increase their creativity and intelligence. Early childhood is the ideal time to start music lessons. At this age, the ear is at its peak of sensitivity. Learning music is as natural as learning to speak.

The Junior Music Course is a unique six-year program of weekly group lessons designed to give your child the best possible beginning for the deve

The Junior Advanced Course is a four- year program of weekly group lesson designed for graduates of the Junior Music Course (Year 4) and /or Young Musician Course (Year 3) to encourage the personal creative abilities.  They learn and play creative interpretations of music repertoire as well as compose their own.  In addition to the group lesson, the student may also take part in individual lessons to improve their playing skills permitting the teacher to develop their individual creative abilities.

It is an accelerated  three- years course for students who demonstrate advanced capabilities during the 2 years of Junior Music Courses.

The Senior Advanced Course is a four-year group program for the graduates of both Junior Special Advanced Course as well as Junior Advanced Course.  The focus of this group will be further development of performance skills and musicianship.

The Young Musicians Course a three-year program.  Students participate in activities that teach basic musical skills and encourage independence, creativity and self-expression.  The course appeals to the imagination of a young mind and becomes an integral part of your child's growth.

Students in this course will play a wide variety of piano styles (classical, folk and pop). Basic musician skills are developed through solfege singing and keyboard playing.  More advanced aural training. Keyboard and technical exercises to promote finger independence are developed in the 2nd year.  Basic skills for composition, arranging and transposition will be introduced.

A fun filled 2 years course for older beginners learning a variety of music.  Musical development will stretch beyond keyboard performance and ensemble performance.  New technology will be employed for arranging and creating compositions.

Music has no boundaries nor age limit. 

This special course is specially designed for mature adults who would like to experience the fun of keyboard/piano playing.
